Well ahead of where I expected it to be, the Archives are now live!
You can navigate to The Archives at the top of the page, click into any one of the threads available and read through the comments that were made, or click through to the Museum to see the media that's been recovered.
It's only a small slice of what we had (there were tens of thousands of comments on FFHut over the years) but it's significantly more than I ever expected to get. I'm still hopeful that we might find more on a hard drive somewhere, or that somebody else who stumbles across this may have more to contribute, but if all we have is what I've scraped from the Wayback Machine, then I am still beyond happy.
I started this project to ensure these conversations weren't just lost to time. It’s a work in progress, and I hugely appreciate any effort anybody else puts to this. If you have old site skins, banners, or any other artifacts buried in an old folder, please reach out to the archive team. I'll be spending some more time trawling the waybackmachine to restore some of the media, to take screenshots of full pages, and find anything else interesting, which I'll add to the museum as I go.
